A Historic Tour Around London

After we had seen Big Ben (read about it here), we walked along Whitehall. This is a picture of the famous Downing Street where the Prime Minister lives. I didn’t want to start my anxiety off so I stayed on the less busy side of the road.

We cut through the Household Cavalry Museum to walk along the Mall. This is where the changing of the guards happens and the parades and ceremonies. One of the ceremonies which is held in the grounds is the Trooping the Colour which commemorates the monarch’s official birthday and the Beating Retreat.

At the end of The Mall is Buckingham Palace which is where the Royal family live.

We saw the Admiralty Arch and the Royal Marines Memorial.
