Let’s Talk Smoothies

My Blend Active has become my favourite kitchen utility item ever! It makes creating juices and smoothies quick and easy. Since going vegan, I have always used a hand blender but nothing can compare to the Blend Active. It makes smoothies a lot smoother and taste delicious too. I thought I would share with you one of my favourite recipes and that’s the green smoothie. I have plenty of others that I can share but I like how any smoothie can be rather simple with easy-to-get ingredients too!

Did you know that Spinach is a great source of calcium for us vegans? Smoothies make it super easy to incorporate into our daily meals as well. For my favourite green smoothie I usually half fill my Blend Active with spinach, add a banana for the creamy texture and add 250ml of coconut or almond milk. I sometimes add pineapple chunks with some of the juice from the tin for a sweeter tasting smoothie. The best thing about a green smoothie is that it tastes surprisingly delicious and fills you up for the morning ahead.
