Winter Pamper Evening Essentials

I decided to do a little post on my Winter pamper evening essentials. As the nights are darker and colder, there’s nothing better than spending many cosy nights wrapped under a blanket watching the TV, classic films such as Arthur Christmas and Elf or perhaps a bit of YouTube! It also means pamper evening central. Slap on the face mask, paint those nails and drink the most delicious hot chocolate you can find!

The first step in your winter pamper evening routine is to run yourself a luxurious bubble bath with your favourite hot drink of choice. I usually go for Cadbury’s Hot Chocolate with vegan friendly marshmallows. Lush have a wide range of bath bombs and bubble bars that you can use but I have chosen to use one of the Five Gold Rings and Dashing Santa. If you’re not a bubble bath fan then a hot shower will do just fine although I don’t think it’s as relaxing. There’s also plenty of luxurious shower gels to get you in the pamper evening mood. My current favourites are: The Comforter Shower Cream, Liz Earle’s Orange Flower Botanical Body Wash and Original Source’s Strawberry And Pink Peppercorn. They all leave your skin feeling super soft and moisturised! Don’t forget to avoid that dry skin and moisturise your body before snuggling into your warm pyjamas. I have been using the Liz Earle’s Nourishing Botanical Body Cream or Nature’s Extracts Zesty Lime Moisturising Body Butter.

I think it’s important that you use your pamper night effectively and give your face a good cleanse too. I know after I have treated my skin well, it looks a lot clearer, feels a lot softer and more importantly, rehydrated.  Recently I have been using Bûche de Noël by Lush to cleanse my face. Similar to Angels On Bare Skin, which I have talked about here, it has ground almonds that gently exfoliates and kaolin that cleanses the skin. I usually cleanse before dipping into the bath so I can relax with a face mask.

Recently I have fell in love with the Catastrophe Cosmetic Fresh Face Mask. Not only does it smell of parma violets but it leaves my skin feeling amazing! The ingredients are rich in vitamins and minerals which makes the mask brilliant for calming and soothing the skin. I use this one when my skin is breaking out terribly. Another one I have been loving recently is Cranberry, again part of the Christmas Limited Edition collection; it is full of ingredients cleanse, exfoliate and repair the skin such as cranberries, fennel and Argan oil. I usually use the Eau Roma Water Toner and follow this with The Body Shop’s Seaweed Day Cream moisturiser. If I have any spots occurring then I usually use Grease Lightning which is an absolute god-send!

As a side note, I try and stay away from social media. This is ‘your’ time so take advantage of it and stop promoting your blog or going down your Facebook feed. I usually read a book or flick through a couple of magazines. Just remember that pamper nights are important for everyone, especially bloggers!

There you have it, my pamper evening essentials. I hope you have enjoyed reading. Now I want you to stop whatever your doing a plan a night in for yourself so you can relax and treat yourself, preferably within the next week!

What are your pamper evening essentials? I’m always looking out for new products to try!
