January’s Love List

This year I wanted to introduce monthly favourites. They have been something that I have loved reading on other people’s blogs last year so hopefully you will enjoy finding out what I have been loving throughout the months.

January's Love List

The first item I have been loving this month is the illustrated edition of Harry Potter and the Philospoher’s Stone illustrated by Jim Kay. Confession: I have never read any of the Harry Potter books…until now! I loved reading the first book and can’t wait for the other illustrated editions to come out. The images are beautifully drawn as well which makes the book extra special. Although a lot of people have gone back to work this month, University students tend to have nearly another month ‘off’ (although we are meant to be revising for Winter exams) however I don’t have them which means I have had a lot of spare time to watch films and all sorts. On this list is Making A Murderer which I have obsessed over and currently waiting for Edd to catch up so we can finish it together and, of course, Pretty Little Lairs is back! Inside Out has been played on my TV numerous of times and I am so happy to finally have Paper Towns in my DVD collection.

Soon after saying goodbye to all the Christmas festivities, the Easter chocolate entered the stores. My particular favourite has been the Cadbury’s Mini Eggs. I can’t get enough of them! Although they are the most unhealthiest treat, they are amazing for snacking on while writing blog posts.

January's Love List

There hasn’t been many beauty favourites this month however a couple of things have stood out to me. The R&B Hair Moisturiser has been a firm favourite throughout the Winter months. It keeps the frizz away makes your hair smell lovely. I can definitely say that a little goes along way with this product. The one pictured has been in my stash for nearly 7 months now but is nearly running out. Another Lush product I have been loving is the Lover Lamp Bath Bomb. It smells exactly the same as Terry’s Chocolate Orange and has really started to relax me when I’m feeling stressed out. If you haven’t already tried the bath bomb, I really do urge you to try it before it gets ripped off the shelves.

Urban Decay’s Naked 3 Palette has been a re-found love this month. I have been using Burnout, Buzz and Darkside the most however all of the shades are beautiful and wearable during the day or evening. My most recent find has been the X-Ceptional Wear Foundation by GOSH. The coverage is amazing without looking to thick and it lasts all day without it looking cakey later on. I went for Chestnut which matches my skin perfectly. Although I have been wanting to try one of the Too Faced foundations, I am more than happy using this one for now.

What have you been loving this month? Anything in particular? Let me know in the comments!

  • The illustrated copy of Harry Potter is ridiculously beautiful. It’s probably the most beautiful book I own. Naked 3 has been a rediscovery for me this month too! How weird is that?

    • It really is so beautiful! I can’t wait for The Chamber Of Secrets to come out in illustrated form! It’s really weird that you have rediscovered Naked 3 like me too, it such a beautiful palette! :) xx

    • You can’t go wrong with a packet of mini eggs, they taste delicious!! :) xx

  • Naked 3 has been recommended to me so much, do you think it’s worth the pricetag? Lovely post, inside out is such a sweet film.

    • Definitely worth the price tag! If you bored of the golden, neutral colours then the Naked 3 palette is something to look into, the shades are really pigmented and give off a lovely rose gold/pink tones when on the eye lids however there is still some golds in the palette so you get the best of both worlds. Inside Out is such an amazing film too! :) xx

  • I love R&B too, in fact I completely forgot about it so I’m gonna have to dig my pot out and hope it’s still in date! And don’t get me started on PLL, I’ve only recently discovered it and I am obsessed!!
