The Sunday Post: An Evening With Ben Haenow

#OneNight Tour With Ben Haenow

Firstly I would like to apologise for the poor camera quality. I really wanted to take my camera but at the same time I didn’t want to break it. Now that’s out the way, let’s get on with the post. Confession: I went to my first concert yesterday. I’m trying to say yes to doing more things that I would usually spend my time avoiding. For those of you who don’t know who Ben Haenow is, he is the X Factor 2014 winner. I met him when he released his first album at the end of last year and knew that I wanted to conquer my fear and see him live. It was a really lovely evening. I danced. I sang. I let my hair down. But, more importantly, I had fun. Consider it my “dip into concert water” because I am hoping that I get the chance to see The Birthday Massacre later this year.

As a treat for doing so well with my anxiety, I treated myself to one of the merchandise tops that was available and a key ring to add to mine and Edd’s relationship box.

James Plimmer, a guitarist from Leicestershire, was the supporting singer on Ben’s tour and he was amazing! He was such a lovely person and I would loved to have met him after the concert my anxiety took over and I just wanted to get back to the car. Overall, I loved the concert (even Edd said that he really enjoyed it too). I love Edd for treating me with the tickets for us to go for Valentine’s.

Have you ever been to a concert before? Do you get extremely anxious when trying new situations? Let me know in the comments.
