B. Radiant Illuminating Foundation Review

Another week, another review. Recently I have been discovering a handful of new cruelty free brands in the hope to add some variety to my makeup collection. This week I’m talking about the B. Radiant Illuminating Foundation. It’s that time of year where we are all looking for something a bit lighter on our skin so we can let it breathe a bit in the warmer air. I’ve been using this foundation for a while now. I am actually on my second bottle, so I thought it’s about time I shared my thoughts – here we go…

B. Radiant Illumination Foundation is a ‘silky, luminescent’ formula that claims to instantly brighten complexions and even your skin tone. Personally, that’s a pretty accurate description. The glass bottle makes the product look a lot more expensive than how much it is and as for the foundation – I love it! The foundation doesn’t feel oily when applied and it gives such a lovely coverage to the skin. It’s £9.99 for 29ml and is available in a range of shades.

The foundation offers a lovely dewy finish to the skin which I was a bit unsure of at first as I tend to go for the matte look however I really like it during the spring/summer months. The formulation doesn’t cling to any of my dry patches and blends easily with a brush or fingers alike. It’s a lighter coverage than what I usually go for on the foundation front but I like that it can be built up. I have definitely noticed that the foundation brightens up my skin. I really like how lovely and healthy my complexion looks after I have applied it. It helps me hide what I want; say goodbye to those horrible dark under eye circles and pesky red spots.

I have the shade 040 Honey, which is one of the darker shades that they offer and even then it wouldn’t be good if I had a slight tan. If you have quite pale skin, I think you will have no difficulty finding your perfect shade but if you have darker skin than mine your probably going to struggle.

The cons are obviously going to be different for everyone but I have noticed that it doesn’t live up to the 8 hours wear that it claims on the back of the bottle unless you have used a dusting powder. Those with oily skin will definitely need to apply a powder and even then I don’t think the wear would be too great but other than that this foundation has definitely set the standards high.

Overall, it’s amazing stuff. I am not the one for glowy skin but this foundation has definitely changed my mind about that kind of look. It’s a lovely natural-looking coverage and it will more than likely be my go to foundation over the summer months. It contains UVA/UVB filters which are brilliant for protecting the skin from the harsh sun rays as well. I would highly recommend the B. Radiant Illuminating foundation to anyone on the look out for trying something a bit different. You can pick it up from selected Superdrug stores.

  • I love the sound of this although I do have super oily skin, so it probably wouldn’t be the best for me… I really want to try more of B’s range :)
