Three Lush Reviews

IMG_4410

The other day I popped into Lush and picked up a couple of bits that shockingly I have never tried. I thought instead of writing the usual haul where I just show you what I thought and mention them in a favourites sometime in a couple of months time, I have waited until I have used them and feel as though I can write a thorough review of my thoughts.

Lava Lamp Bath Bomb

Lava Lamp is a new product that was released at the start of June. Firstly, I love the bright orange and purple ball of goodness. It smells amazing but the scent really does come out when you have actually thrown it into a bath full of warm water. The scent fills the bathroom with a scent of an orange Calippo ice lolly and immediately uplifts your mood when your feeling rather down. The purple spots are made with cocoa butter which is super softening on the skin and extra virgin olive oil that helps to moisturise the skin. When you first drop the bath bomb into the water, it makes it look as though it is the blobs of colour you would usually find in a lava lamp. It includes Sicilian mandarin, tangerine and orange flower to give it the summery scent. *since writing this, I have actually brought five other lava lamps because I love it so much*

Big Blue Bath Bomb

I have known about Big Blue ever since I started shopping at Lush but never really looked into it closely. I saw an employee demonstrating it in store to a group of customers and instantly fell in love with the seaside scent. Personally, I live two streets away from the coast but having anxiety means I rarely go out and just sit on the beach so this was perfect for me to be able to just sit in the comfort of my own bath and for it to still smell amazing. The black bits are actually arame seaweed which is great for softening the skin but also regulates your metabolism which is pretty cool. The bath bomb also includes sea salt which aids with the skin softening factors of the formula but also helps remove dead skin cells. It also has white lemon and lavender oils which help relax the mind and body. I used this just before I went on a date night with Edd last night and it made me feel so calm and relaxed.

Dirty Springwash Shower Gel

Finally, Dirty Springwash is a shower gel that has been on my wish list for a while now but I’ve never picked it up. Anyone who follows me on social media will probably know that I am a sucker for the shower gels that Lush create. I opened the lid and haven’t smelt anything like this before. It smells A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! If your the one for minty, refreshing scents then you will probably love this one. I’m usually all about the citrus scented products but the spearmint and menthol stimulates your mind and leaves your skin feeling cool. I can imagine it would be nice to use on holiday after a day in the sun or a rather sweaty gym workout – if that’s your thing cause it’s certainly not mine. Like all of the Lush shower gels, it lathers up really nicely on the skin.

Have you tried any of these Lush products before? Let me know what your thoughts are if you have.
