The Sunday Post: Skipton, Bad Moms And A Little Life Update

It’s Sunday evening and I tweeted out this morning that my post today was going to be late. Sorry that it’s late but I have been really busy getting all my things ready for starting my new job tomorrow. I’m sat in bed wondering where to begin because this weekend has been hectic to say the least. Have you got your cuppa and chocolate biscuits ready?

Last Friday, myself, Edd, Matthew and Rachael all headed down to Skipton to celebrate my mum’s birthday. We had surprised her with a day boat and the weather couldn’t have been more perfect. The day was full of beautiful scenery, delicious food and quality family time which I always love. I was going to write a full post about the day but I forgot my memory card for my camera and to be honest it was the last thing I was thinking about at 6am in the morning.

I went back to Slimming World this week and have been feeling extremely positive ever since. I have been trying to keep to vegan friendly meals and so far it’s going well. I was thinking of setting up a series where I talk about my weight loss, how I am finding it and perhaps sharing my favourite foods and meals of the week. Let me know what your thoughts are on this.

Edd and I went to see Bad Moms last night and the trailer doesn’t really do it any justice. It was hilarious!! I really enjoyed it and for those of you planning on going to the cinema; Odeon has a Student Deal where you get a ticket, medium popcorn and drink for £10 – bargain or what?! Edd even enjoyed it which I was rather surprised about.

I went swimming this morning in the hope that it would help with the weight loss and build up my self confidence/esteem ready for tomorrow. The pool was so busy and I was prepared to ask Edd to turn back round and go home but I didn’t and I feel so proud of myself for not doing that. I managed to do nearly fifty lengths of the pool whilst we were there and I didn’t really feel out of breath when we had finished. Anxiety – 0, Yasmina – 1.

Lastly, I just wanted to talk to you about Humans. We started watching it this morning and I can feel myself getting hooked already. Has anyone else been watching it? What’s your thoughts? It’s a drama series where the latest gadget for a busy family is a Synth – a life like humanoid. It is so interesting and completely different to what I am used to. Speaking of TV programmes, Pretty Little Liars has ended this week to and I am not going to lie at the fact that I cried my eyes out at the ending as well as being left with numerous amounts of questions. Apart from this, not much else has gone on. I am so nervous about starting work tomorrow but I am still a little bit excited. If you have any advice about starting a new job please let me know because I am so nervous.

I hope you have had a lovely week. What have you been up to? Anything nice? Let me know in the comments below.
