Collaborating With Contrado UK

I am always on the lookout for unique and different gifts for Birthdays and Christmas presents so when the team over at Contrado got in touch asking if I wanted to collaborate with them I was extremely excited. I’ve never heard of any brand quite like them.

Contrado collaborates with many artists and designers to print designs on many different fabrics on more than 450 different products. As you can imagine you can design just about anything you would like from hoodies, skirts and t-shirts to cushions, accessories and wallpaper. At first, I didn’t really know where to start but once you had decided what you wanted the design process is rather simple.

You can decide whether to create your own design using Illustrator or Photoshop or chose a pattern that is already in the library on the website. Once this has been done the rest is all fairly simple. You can choose the colours for the inside of the fabric, the colour of the thread, if you want a label added or not, your size using a handy chart and in some cases, such as the hoodie, whether you want a zip or not. You can rotate and zoom the fabric design as well. Just let your imagination run wild…

My bomber jacket was printed and sent within 48 hours which is excellent as far as customer service is concerned and brilliant for any last minute gift ideas for loved ones. Although the factory is based in West London, there are actually 9 country-specific websites including a US based site which means they can ship products around the world.

The product itself is extremely well made. The bomber jacket is a lot warmer than I imagined with a thicker material than I thought it would have. The pattern is such a lovely autumnal print but I think it would look lovely all year round. I was surprised at how well the design actually turned out. One of my favourite things about the company is that you can add your own label – of course, I added my blog logo however I thought it would be lovely to add a photo of you and the person who you are designing it for just as a suggestion. The only thing I would have to say is that even though I ordered the jacket in my usual size, it is rather tight than how I would have wanted it so I suggest you size up.

What’s your thoughts about designing your own clothing? I think it is pretty cool!

I did not receive compensation for this post however, Contrado sent the bomber jacket, using my custom print fabric for free. This does not effect my opinions, they are 100% my own.

This is such a fantastic idea! I’ve always wanted to design my own clothes but you normally have to order like a minimum of 100 t-shirts. Personalised gifts like this are the best xx

    • I really loved this idea :) xx

  • The design print looks to have a nice quality. It fascinates me when a brand really just blows minds away to how they take care of their service. Love you bomber jacket.
