The Review: Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

I have always been an Urban Decay kinda girl right from the off. I fell in love with the Naked 2 and Naked 3 palettes with most of the lighter shades being used on a day to day basis as highlights and in the inner corner of my eyes. With most of these shades now hitting pan, I thought it was about time I introduced myself to the oh so raved about Naked Basics.
The most obvious thing which you can see is that the palette itself is a lot more travel friendly, in person lighter and I think slimmer so it’s perfect if you are here, there and everywhere like myself. Anyway let’s have a look at the shades cause they are the most important right?!
Straight away from looking at the colours before even swatching, I knew that this palette would be perfect and more user friendly in some cases for everyday wear. For starters, the shades are all matte with no shimmer or glitter to be seen which part of me quite likes. Even though the palette only includes 6 shades, the is still room to create various different neutral eye looks and you can easily create some fantastic smokey eyes.
My go-to shades have been Foxy for the inner corners, Naked 2 for applying all over the lid and Faint for smudging it out into a smokey eye. I have been using Crave if I wanted to go for something slightly darker on the eye. What I like about the shades is that the formula makes the shadows easy to blend. Even though I completely adore my Naked 2 palette more than anything in the world I would have to say this is probably my new favourite. So with the Naked Basics 2 now ordered thanks to Cohorted, I am now on the look for that perfect eye brush. Any suggestions?

I haven't managed to buy myself any of the naked palettes yet, but this would definitely be the one that I went for. I didn't realise that are the shades were matte, that just makes me want it even more! I know it's a cop out, but I really like my real techniques fluffy blending brush for eyes

I have this palette a while now and it doesn't get no where near as much love as it should. I really need to start making more of an effort to use it! I think MAC 217 OR ZOEVA 227 (cheaper dupe) would be a great all rounder brush x

I think (don't count on it) Debenhams might still have 10% off so I would go and grab one quickly! :) xxx
