What I Got For My Birthday 2015

Personally I love these types of posts. I think they are brilliant for gift ideas and really getting to know the person behind the blog however I must add that I am not bragging about what I received. I just want to share some of the things that I received with my lovely readers. That okay?!I had a lovely day and I am so grateful for what I got from friends and family. Anyway, let’s talk through what I got for my birthday last week.

Liz Earle is a brand that I never tried but always added to my wish list. I have heard good things about the Hot Cloth Cleanse & Polish but I received this lovely gift set that contains the Orange Flower Botanical Body Wash and the Nourishing Botanical Body Cream both of which smells lovely and perfect for summer. I also picked up the Faith in Nature Coconut Shampoo and Conditioner range because they smell amazing. Faith in Nature is a brand that I have very quickly fell in love with. I have my eyes on their shower gels too but still trying to decide which one to go for however for now I will be loving the Virgin Mojito shower gel by The Body Shop which smells amazing!

Now what’s a birthday without spending a couple of £££’s in Lush?! In case you didn’t know, they are discontinuing some of their products to make room for some of the Oxford Street exclusives into stores nationwide. My good friend Libby has wrote a full post on them which you can read here. It was only right that I picked up two or three of Space Girl and Phoenix Rising so that I can make the most of them while they are still around. I also picked up the Jungle Conditioner which smells lovely. I have already used this twice and it has made my hair look so shiny and healthy which is exactly what I wanted. Shine So Bright is something that I have been eyeing up for a while now as it is aimed at people with split ends. No matter how many times I cut my hair, the split ends always come back so I am hoping that this little devil is going to help them. Bath melts are something that I have never really looked into however I have heard that they are good for dry, dehydrated skin so I picked up You’ve Been Mangoed which smells heavenly. I can’t wait to try this out when I get the chance.

Finally, I am now a proud owner of the Canon EOS M! I have been eyeing this camera up for ages. Although I love my DSLR, it goes everywhere with me, it can be a bit difficult to carry around on a daily basis. The Canon EOS M enables you to put any lens from the Canon series on to the camera with a use of the adapter which was supplied in the box. The 22mm lens is perfect for shots of food at cafes and restaurants. I like how compact the camera is but the quality of the images is amazing.

Overall, I am so thankful for the presents I received and had such a lovely day. Have you tried any of the products mentioned before? I would love to know your thoughts!

  3. Happy birthday Yasmina! It looks like you had a lovely day, and got some amazing gifts as well. Please let us know how you get on with the new camera – I’m also looking for a compact version of a DSLR for food photography both in and out of the kitchen, so it’d be great to hear what you think.

Happy Belated Birthday Lovely! It was my birthday last week and I was spoilt with quite a few lush goodies too which I am looking forward to using. I have never used any lush hair products but have heard so many good things about them so maybe it’s time that I break the silence haha
You’ll have to let us know how your camera goes/ if you like it. I mainly use the Canon G7X and I love how portable but good quality it is.

Thank you chick, happy belated birthday to you too! I definitely recommend trying some of the hair products from Lush. I have had the New shampoo bar and the Coconut shampoo too which smells divine. I wanted something portable but still had the same quality so hopefully the Canon will be perfect! :) xx

  5. Hope you had a lovely birthday! I highly recommend the coconut range from Faith In Nature – how did you like it? xxx
