Unless you have been hiding under a rock lately then you should know Lush have distributed a lot of their Oxford Street exclusives to other stores so being a Lush lover myself, I couldn’t wait to get my hands on some more of their products. I was one of the first in the store on Friday (launch day) and was so excited that I didn’t know what to pick up first. Anyway, I’m going to give you a rundown of what I brought cause who doesn’t love a good haul?!
The first thing I wanted to pick up was Frozen, a bath bomb I had to drop from my basket when I went to the Oxford Street store in June. The uplifting and refreshing scent is made from grapefruit and neroli oil accompanied with rose oil for nourishing and soothing the skin. I can’t wait to try this out especially after reading about the snowflake lustre.
Bubble bars have recently become my new favourite thing. They make your skin super moisturised and soft but you can also use them more than once. The first two I picked up are products with new formulas. First up is Karma; a purple coloured bubble bar with mango butter to leave your skin feeling soft, sweet orange and lemongrass oil for the uplifting scent, lavandin for the relaxing properties in the bubble bar and pine oil for freshness. A little goes along way with this one as you only need to use a quarter of it to turn your bath into this lovely, relaxing deep purple shade filled with lots of scented bubbles. The Yuzu and Cocoa Bubbleroon is definitely one of my favourite products from Lush. It leaves my skin feeling super soft and is brilliant for those with dry skin as it’s made with shea and cocoa butters. The new formula has added in avocado butter that helps nourish and hydrate the skin. I love how the bubbleroons have now been shaped to resemble a macaroon. The citrus oils are used to uplifting your mood with a chocolatey undertone.
Another new formula is Pop In The Bath; packed full of citrus fragrances like lemon and mandarin oils this bubble bar creates so many bubbles from crumbling half under warm, running water. The previous Pop In The Bath was bright green however with the new forumla you have the choice of pink with a blue flower or blue with a pink flower (or both for those who can’t decide). It’s not as mositurising as the other bubble bars as it doesn’t contain any nourishing butters but it still a lovely product to use when your needing a bit of a ‘pick me up’.
One of the most talked about products is Cup O’ Coffee; an exfoliating face and body mask that is completely different to any other face mask Lush has created. Now I am no coffee lover, in fact I hate coffee with a passion but this has completely changed my whole mindset. The cocoa extract, vetivert, coriander oil and vanilla absolute create such a sweet and refreshing scent. I used this product on the Sunday just gone as part of my pamper routine and it left my skin feeling so soft, nourished and moisturised. I just didn’t want to stop touching my face, as weird as that sounds! I highly recommend trying this product out even if coffee isn’t your thing.
If you have been a long time reader of my blog then you will know I love anything with cocoa butter in the formulation. Finally, I can’t wait to try out Pink Flamingo. The sweet, floral scent comes from ylang ylang and rosewood oils and of course the cocoa butter is brilliant for moisturising and softening the skin. I can imagine that it will be like Drummer’s Drumming or Magic Wand which they had during the Christmas period last year.
Have you picked up any of their new stock lately? What have you been loving from Lush?
