I don’t know about you but I am certainly not ready to let go of my Summer lipstick shades yet and considering the sun has still been hovering in the sky most of this week I think an orange lipstick is still acceptable. I was delighted when Botanical Brands sent an email asking if I would like to review a Lippy Girl lipstick as I came across them not so long ago and created a bit of a wish list from them but they seemed to be pretty hard to get hold of in the UK. I decided to go for Son Of A Brick which is a lovely everyday orange shade that isn’t too in your face. I’m so happy with it but already have my eyes on some of the other shades for Autumn/Winter.
As soon as the lipstick landed on my doorstep I had to try it. From first impressions I love the soft, creamy formula much like my beloved MAC’s Half ‘n’ Half that I don’t use any more but obviously a cruelty free and vegan option. The whole Vegocentric lipstick range is made from natural oils and waxes including Shea Butter which obviously gives the smooth, cream finish.
Throughout the day I have found my lips feeling moisturised and found myself reaching more for the lipstick over my usual lip balm. I think the lipstick will be perfect for the colder days as it won’t dry your lips out because of the moisturising formulation. The only down side is that the lasting power is not as great as other lipsticks on the market. I find myself re-applying the lipstick after eating or during my shifts at work. I can’t wait to try Rosey Posey which is another shade in the collection but also other products from Lippy Girl themselves.
What’s your thoughts on natural makeup? Have you tried Lippy Girl before?
The lipstick was sent to me to review however this does not effect my thoughts of the product and the brand themselves.
