Autumnal Lovin’

The July Journal Autumn

The July Journal Autumn

Autumn is definitely my favourite season, with Spring coming as a close second. This may come as a surprise to most people who know me in person as I am always complaining about how cold it is around this time of year. There’s just something satisfying when you come in from a frosty, cold day to wrap up warm in your favourite pyjamas, blast the central heating up high and treat yourself to a hot chocolate. Don’t forget the marshmallows! I thought I would share with you my reasons on why I love Autumn.

Pumpkin Spiced Hot Chocolates. They are probably the best creation ever! Add Coconut Milk and it’s divine. Although I do like a lovely homemade hot chocolate with added cinnamon and vegan friendly marshmallows.

Autumnal walks. We are talking the beauty of colourful leaves as they change from green to oranges and reds, the conkers and acorns falling from the trees.

Cosy nights/days snuggled in your duvet watching film after film or catching up on your favourite Netflix season.

Friendly people. Is it just me or does everyone seem to be a lot happier and more friendly towards you? I work in retail which can be challenging at times but everyone who I have served and helped has been so kind to me back. Maybe it’s cause Christmas is just around the corner!

The Autumn/Winter clothing is particularly my favourite. I like how I can wear my parka and one of my many scarves without being judged. I find jeans and cosy jumpers to be the most comfortable clothes ever too.

All the candles. Even the Summer ones are acceptable. Can I recommend the Winter candle from The White Company? It smells of Christmas in a candle!

All the festive gear displayed in the shops. We are talking Halloween and Christmas. THE BEST TIME OF YEAR!!

What’s your favourite things about Autumn?

I’ve definitely loved being able to just wear layer upon layers of clothes now that its Autumn. I think the fashion is so much nicer and you can really show off your personality through your clothes more. Also, being inside by the fire has got me all giddy!

I’m definitely with you on all of these! I’ve never tried pumpkin spiced hot chocolate but I’m going to have to now!

The clothes are definitely my favorite part. I love bundling up in scarves and tights!
