Everyone deserves one of those friends who are always there to give extremely good advice, failing that someone who can just be there for support. To me, that’s Libby. Some of you may know her as the girl who writes at Gingerbread Buttons, others may know her as the excellent tweeter on Twitter. This post in particular is dedicated to her.
As you may know, I have been a nervous wreck about my second year at University and have been through a lot emotionally recently, hence the lack of blogging, and after meeting up for a coffee as a confidence booster she handed me a box full of gifts that I love. She didn’t have to do this but that’s what good friends do. I’m now going to have to repay the favour but I really don’t mind that. Today I thought I would share with you some of the treats inside the box.
As I opened the box a lovely smell of Lush came out from it. I knew immediately which product it was! The Creamy Candy Bubble Bar is by far one of my most loved Lush scents. It’s moisturising formulation includes almond and cocoa butter which leaves your skin feeling super soft and the candy floss scent perks you up when your feeling down. She also treated me to Golden Handshake which is a hot hand mask. I have never heard of anything like it before! You stir the hand mask in a large bowl of hot water and allow the treatment to thicken. Soak your hands in for around 15 minutes and it will leave your hands feeling soft and hydrated. The treatment includes: avocado oil and murumuru butter for conditioning and moisturising the hands, rosewood oil for the uplifting fragrance and argan oil for repairing damaged skin. I can’t wait to try this product out and give it a review over on The July Journal.
The fizzy pop sweets from Marks and Spencer is something that I have fell in love with. Completely gelatine free, meaning they are suitable for veggies and vegans alike, the packet contains a mix of cola, pink lemonade, ginger beer and cherryade flavour sweets. Since she gave me the box, I have kept my sweet drawer stocked up with these as they are the perfect snack when blogging or writing essays. I am thankful that Libby treated me to a set of colouring pencils and a book with lovely images to brighten up. This will give me a lovely break from stressful University work.
Finally, I just wanted to say how thankful I am to have Libby has a friend and I think everyone deserves someone like Libby. Shall we have a catch up soon?
