Happy Father’s Day! It’s nearly 8pm and I completely forgot it’s Sunday and I needed to write a post. I’m such a bad blogger at times. This week has involved a lot of food, being ill and making a big life decision. So let’s catch up…
Last Sunday was not only the Proper Food Festival which they have in the North East but also a street party to celebrate the Queen’s Birthday. It rained most of the day but lucky enough the Food Festival will be around again next month in my boyfriend’s town however I did pick up a bar of Bizarre Chocolate. We tasted all the unusual flavours but finally decided to go with the Bubblegum Sundae. It was white chocolate with dark chocolate sauce, sprinkles and edible glitter that tasted rather similar to those Hubba Bubba Bubblegum sweets that you could get from newsagents when you were a child. As for the street party, it was busy and slightly uncomfortable as I don’t know that many people in my street however they brought out a lovely cake in the design of the English flag which tasted amazing. Did you have any street parties?
I haven’t been feeling the best again this week. I think there has been a bit of a cold/flu thing going around but after I went to the doctors they told me I had Costochondritis which is basically a term used for inflammation of the cartilage around your ribs. It’s been so painful that I have been in bed most of the week not wanting to do anything apart from watch Love Island, Orange Is The New Black and Scream. I couldn’t even be bothered to read/write blog posts this week which means I am terribly behind for next week.
I’ve handed in my Return To Study form for University and now I am justing waiting to see if I will receive the finance to re-do my second year but more importantly than that I have made a huge life decision. I really hope your sitting comfortable for this. I have finally, finally…ordered my provisional driving license this weekend and have decided to learn how to drive!! Anyone who knows me personally, will know that I have wanted to drive since the age of 17 but something as always stopped me from ordering that little piece of plastic card and booking some lessons. I have my first two hour lesson just after my birthday so I am sure I will let you know how I get on. Is it too early to be looking at cars? I feel as though it is going to boost my confidence and give me a whole load of independence that I don’t have at the moment. I’m still so nervous but dead excited at the same time.
That pretty much sums up my week, how has yours been? I hope you’ve done something exciting! Let me know what has been happening in your life recently.
