Can you believe that this time next week will be Christmas Eve? Yeah, me neither! Today, I’ve compiled a list of gifts for dog lovers. This is kind of in collaboration with Lauren from What Lauren Did Today as I originally got inspiration for this post from her gift guide for cat lover which you can view here. I double checked that she wasn’t planning something similar so I could write it without stealing any of her ideas. I’ve spent hours upon hours finding some really good and affordable ideas that you can easily get a hold of from high street stores or online with fast delivery. Similar to Lauren, I have tried to keep everything under £20 for anyone on a budget but there are a few things which are slightly over.
Sighh Designs Doggies Phone Case, £18. Any dog lover will fall in love with Polly’s dog phone case. The one thing I love about Polly’s phone cases is that they are so hard wearing and she puts so much effort in designing them for us as well.
Sighh Designs ‘Pet Your Dog’ Pin, £6.50. Another one of Polly’s creation is her pins. I’m not a massive fan of pins myself however I have started pinning them to my Lush ‘Fighting Animal Testing Bag’ to give it a bit of personality.
Estella Bartlett Sausage Dog Necklace, £18. I actually brought this one for my sister last year and it has become a necklace that she wears often. If you know that your girlfriend, sister, daughter or even mother is Dachshund lover then they would love this in their jewellery collection.
Sass & Belle Ruby Scottie Dog Bookends, £11. I saw these on the Sass & Belle website and instantly fell in love. They would make a perfect gift for anyone into reading books and styling their bookshelves. I think the floral design makes them so unique compared to other bookends that you see on the shelves.
A Dog’s Life 2017 Calendar, £10. Everyone is going to need a calendar ready for next year so why not treat your dog lover to one of these calendars. The illustrations I think sums up what thoughts any dogs in life have across twelve months. The illustrations and captions are from the oh-so talented Gemma Correll.
Spaniel Chocolate, £7.95. It was actually Edd who found The Labrador Company via Not On The High Street last year. They do a range of dog shaped chocolate including these Spaniel Chocolates which he got for his mum last year. They also do some super cute Dachshund and Labrador ones as well.
Hotel For Dogs, £4.52. I could honestly watch this over and over again because it just makes me feel so happy and so in love with dogs more and more. It just shows how clever dogs really are as well as how loyal they are to their owners. It isn’t one that is talked about a lot but definitely worth a watch.
Dog Printed Socks, £2.49. Another Dachshund number are these adorable socks which I found whilst browsing on the New Look website. I don’t think they are just for Christmas which makes a change. They also have a generic dog printed pair too for anyone who just loves any type of dog in general. Personally, I think both pairs are just so cute!
Dog Lovers Hot Chocolate Set, £8. I don’t usually drink hot drinks but when I do it’s always a hot chocolate and when I spotted this in NEXT whilst Christmas shopping I knew I had to include it in this gift guide. It comes with the hot chocolate mix and a spoon with a sitting dog on the top which I think was so unique and adorable.
Cosy Dog Printed Pyjamas, £25. How could I write a Christmas gift guide without including a pair of pyjamas?! There’s just something about new pyjamas around Christmas time to snuggle up into for all your family movie nights. I love these that I saw in NEXT too, they aren’t too over the top in your face dog print until you see them up close which is quite nice I think.
Build-A-Bear, from £19.50. Any girl, no matter what age, will always appreciate a build-a-bear. If you take the time out of your Christmas schedule to record a message and add a heartbeat into her favourite stuffed animal, it will more than likely be one of their favourite presents of the year. I have actually brought the Dachshund one for my nephew, Noel, and recorded a message for him to listen to when he is older as we live far apart. They have a range of dog build-a-bears to choose from too so it’s worth having a look.
What’s your favourite item from this list? I am in love with the Build-A-Bear idea and Hotel For Dogs is such a good film too?
