Recent Cruelty Free Makeup Purchases

I haven’t done a ‘haul’ type post for such a long time so I thought I would share with you some of the beauty pieces that I have picked up recently with you. For the longest time I’ve shopped at Superdrug because of all the cruelty free brands that you can find including: GOSH, Barry M, Elf, Revolution, Sleek and B. which is exclusive to Superdrug.

I’ve obviously picked up a new tube of my favourite GOSH X-Ceptional Wear Foundation and GOSH BB Powder. I love these two as a combination for base makeup. I’ve talked about them both so many times so I don’t want to ramble on about them however they are both light formulations which can be built up. I love how the foundation can be built up to achieve the coverage that you want and the powder is brilliant for those with oily skin and prefer more of a matte finish.

Whilst I was at the Barry M counter, I found the new All Night Long Foundation and Concealers. I remember seeing them advertised in an email that I received from the brand and was really intrigued. It seems as though every brand is jumping on the foundation stick bandwagon and Barry M is no different. The formulation feels quite creamy but seems as though it’s lightweight and easy to blend. You can use the foundation to contour and highlight as well which I would love to try.

The All Night Long Concealer, on the other hand, is described as full coverage which is perfect for covering up imperfections and illuminating the skins complexion. I’ve used it quite a couple of times since buying it and the concealer has done a really good job at hiding my imperfections. Both of the products are Paraben free and enriched with Vitamin E to moisturise the skin.

Finally, I treated myself to the Urban Decay Naked Heat Petite Palette and the Hi-Fi Shine Lip Gloss. Urban Decay has been one of my favourite high end makeup brands. I’ve always lusted over their palettes and use them daily. I have had my eyes on the Heat Petite Palette ever since it was released and I’m in love with the shades. They are brilliant for creating everyday smokey eye looks suitable for work.

I tend to avoid lip glosses like the plague because I don’t like the sticky feeling on your lips however the Hi-Fi Shine Lip Gloss are a game changer. I treated myself to Backtalk which is the usual pink/nude shade that I pick up before trying any other shades. There is a range of different shades with various finishes with Backtalk being a cream finish. One of the reasons why I am head over heels in love with the lip gloss is because of how intense the colour is and they all have a vanilla-mint flavour.

Have you brought any cruelty free friendly makeup recently?
